New Components in DSM 7 

  • Windows XP Professional SP3 (x86)
  • Windows XP Professional SP2 (x64)
  • Additionally, the following components are required:
  • IIS 5.1 (or higher)
  • .NetFramework 3.5 SP1
  • No DB system required

This does not apply to the installation of the Distribution Service and Service Installation Service (SIS).


Management Point Application with Business Logic (BLS, BLP)

Core Edition is only supported experimentally. Please contact FrontRange Support for more information.

Additionally, the following components are required:
If you are using SMB you do not need IIS. The share can also be created:

  • on a NAS file server (Extended Storage System).
  • If you have an http depot: IIS 6.0 (or higher), activate WebDAV. If the share is on a NAS file server, please contact FrontRange Support for more information.
